It's 'National Poetry Day' and much like 'Go Skateboarding Day', I'm thinking 'I don't need a day, everyday is skateboarding/poetry day!' But I still feel the urge to share and help promote what I love in the hope it will inspire others.

Here's a video I stumbled across online last week filmed at The Book Club earlier this year. It's a piece called 'No Regrets' if you like it please go on Youtube and give it a thumbs up! All helps the promoters know i'm out plugging it, even if I've only just come across the video!!

I was stoked to be interviewed for the latest episode of a great new podcast called, 'The Thinking, The Striving, The Breathing'. Hosted by my old friend Anthony Christofi or Toffy as I know him, it aims to showcase inspirational personalities (his words not mine) and ways that you can make improvements to your life.

We sat down for half an hour and discussed careers, poetry, skateboarding, smoking, inspiration and much more. Listen to me say the word 'like' way too much and Toffy slip in a mum joke! The podcast is positive and just long enough to listen to on your morning commute.

Part of me struggles with the phrase "no regrets". Whilst I understand not dwelling on the past, I almost relish and revel in my regrets. In a small way I'm proud of my regrets! And why not?

Each of my regrets (and there are many), has taught me a lesson I have learned from...even if that lesson was 'don't be so stupid'! The last few years have been a period of overhaul and change for me. It's been difficult but I'm glad I got through it and learnt so much, and these lessons will help me move forward. In view of all this change I wrote 'No Regrets'. In the video below I am performing it as part of a feature slot for FARRAGO London's longest running Poetry Slam hosted by poet John Paul O'Neill.
